Statement on the future of Mahindra in the U.S.
The road to the US has been a long one for
Mahindra. Moffitt's in Boone, as well as over 300 dealers across the
country, purchased the rights to sell Mahindras in their market areas.
This agreement was made with Mahindra's exclusive US distributor, Global
Vehicles of Georgia. There has been many delays in the delivery of
these vehicles. At this point, Mahindra and Global are tied up in a
legal dispute. I can only speculate that the issue is that Mahindra
wants to be responsible for selling the vehicles in the US themselves,
without Global being a part of that mix. I would also speculate that
ultimately, Mahindra will settle with Global and take over the dealer
network that Global has put together. Either way, I believe these
vehicles will be coming to the US through the dealer network that has
already been set up. it is going to delay things a bit, but I
think that in the end, it will be better for all parties involved.
Again, this is just my personal speculation.
For everyone that has interest in a Mahindra, don't give up. This is a
great product that is different from anything available in the US. Well
built vehicles, huge capacity, great mileage - all wrapped up in a
mid-size truck. We have a long list of people to contact and we will be
happy to let you know what we know. Click the "Contact Us" button

as we can. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Mahindra’s common rail diesels are cleaner,
quieter, greener and more efficient than ever. Our new generation of
clean-burning diesels emit 97 percent fewer sulfur emissions than
old-school diesels and virtually no sooty particulates. They produce 30
percent fewer greenhouse gases per mile than gasoline engines – while
getting 20 to 40 percent better fuel mileage. And they do it all while
maintaining the traditional diesel advantages of more torque and greater
durability.
